“Taliesin, whose work has survived in a Middle Welsh manuscript, the Book of Taliesin, was Chief Bard of Britain and Celtic shaman – a historical figure who lived in Wales during the latter half of the sixth century. He became court bard to King Brochfael Ysgithrog of Powys around 555
